This model is configured with a 2.2GHz Pentium 4 processor, a 512KB on-die L2 cache, 30GB hard drive and 256MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM (expandable to 1GB). In addition to the 400MHz bus speed, it features an external USB 3.5" 1.44MB floppy disk drive, a Type II PC Card slot and an 8X (max. speed) DVD-ROM drive. For your communications needs, use the V.92 modem or the 10/100 Ethernet. Video is provided by the Intel 852GM chipset, using up to 64MB system RAM to support resolutions of 1024 x 768 on the 15" TFT screen and 1920 x 1440 on external monitors. You'll love the AD1981B software sound and built-in stereo speakers. The Tecra A1 comes with a 6-cell Li-Ion battery, AC adapter, 85-key keyboard and touchpad.
