The Satellite A70 offers a widescreen display and powerful features to handle high-end applications. The S256 is configured with a 3.06GHz Mobile Pentium 4 532 processor with Hyper-Threading technology, a 1MB L2 cache, a 60GB hard drive and 512MB PC2700 DDR SDRAM (expandable to 1536MB). In addition to the 533MHz front bus speed, the S256 features one Type II PC Card slot, three USB 2.0 ports and a CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. For your communications needs, it contains four integrated solutions: a modem for dial-up, an Ethernet controller for connecting to your home or office LAN, infrared for connecting with like-equipped devices, and Atheros 802.11b/g wireless for when you're roaming. The ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 IGP graphics controller shares up to 64MB main system memory to deliver crisp images on the 15.4" TFT WXGA LCD display. It comes with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack, a full-size keybaord and a touchpad. Windows XP Professional is pre-installed.
