Modular Bay
The integrated modular bay on the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC allows the user the flexibility of using an optical drive or a bay battery for all-day computing without increasing the system thickness or adding significant weight. The BayLock feature prevents the media drive from being accessed while the system is in Tablet configuration. This important feature prevents the drive and/or system from being damaged while the system is being carried. With BayLock in place, the bay door is locked and the drive is disabled. The BayLock feature is user configurable.
Transmissive Display
New display technologies allow this screen to be viewed either indoors in your office, and home work environments or during outdoor usage. The bright 12.1" XGA LCD display produces a high contrast ratio and complements applications that use high definition graphics. This new display offers greater than 160° viewing angles.
Connectivity
Connect without limits to your office network or the Internet with integrated Ethernet LAN, modem, and Wi-Fi Certified Wireless LAN (802.11a/b/g). The LAN port has a fast 10/100/1000 Mbps transfer speed to provide high speed connection to your office network or broadband Internet connections such as cable modem, DSL line or digital satellite signal. The 56K V.90 modem lets you connect while you are on the road or at home by using a regular telephone line if a LAN port is not available. For even more LAN flexibility, the LifeBook T4210 Tablet PC comes with the Intel® PRO/Wireless LAN solution. The Wi-Fi Certified integrated Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection (Tri-mode 802.11a/b/g) supports fast transfer rates of up to 54 Mbps. Wireless LAN provides cable free connections in the office or at home using broadband technologies such as DSL, cable modem, or digital satellite signal.
