12.1" Touch Screen with Anti-Glare Coating
A powerful ultraportable notebook with a new large and brighter 12.1" touch screen. Using a stylus or your finger tip, you can navigate through your applications or Internet quickly and easily. This new screen also has an anti-glare coating to increase viewability in various lighting conditions.
Added Durability
With its new sleek design and solid feel, the LifeBook B6110D will stand up to the rigors of travel and everyday use. The magnesium alloy that makes up the lower case and LCD panel provides significant protection over plastic casings found in other notebooks. In addition, the hard drive is shock mounted to protect your data. Fujitsu craftsmanship and quality are included as a standard feature on our LifeBook B6110D notebook.
Integrated modem & LAN with optional Wi-Fi® certified network Access Points
With both modem and LAN built in, you have flexibility in how you connect to your office network or the Internet. The LAN port has a fast 10/100/1000 Mbps (also referred to as Gigabit) transfer speeds to provide high-speed connection to your office network, or broadband Internet connections such as cable modem, DSL line or digital satellite signal.
The 56K? V.90 modem lets you connect while you are on the road or at home by using a regular telephone line if a LAN port is not available.
For even more LAN flexibility, the available wireless LAN supports the popular Wi-Fi® certified (802.11 standard) network Access Points at a transfer rate of up to 54 Mbps. With the optional Atheros® Super AG™ technology (802.11a+b/g), you can achieve transfer rates of up to 108 Mbps with compatible access points. The wireless LAN feature is standard on select models, and is also available as a custom configuration option.
Uncompromised Security
The very nature of mobile computing makes it a high security risk. With that in mind, the LifeBook B6110D notebook was engineered to protect your data with measures that are easy to use yet extremely difficult to breech. To create this security rich environment: Trusted Platform Module (TPM), Smart Card ready?; an optional integrated biometric fingerprint swipe sensor, the Fujitsu Security Application Panel, and a Kensington lock slot come standard and/or are available with every B6110D notebook.
Indoor (Transmissive) Display
Viewability on this screen is designed for indoor use such as typical office and home work environments. The bright 12.1" XGA LCD display produces a high contrast ratio and complements applications that use high definition graphics.
Port Replicator
The optional port replicator allows easy "one click" attachment to your desktop peripherals, including LAN. To maximize convenience, keep one for your desktop and one for your alternate work site. Its slim and smart design means you won't waste precious desktop space like other bulky docking systems. The port replicator adds a power port for the AC adapter, a VGA/Monitor out, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and a RJ-45 pass-through for LAN.
